It's really good not to see your beau/main squeeze/honey/sweetie/husband/boyfriend/wife/girlfriend/lover/soul mate/undefinable for a good 8 or 9 days and then see them walking in front of the bus station at 1 am on a Saturday morning as you are still on the Greyhound pulling in to the station and you want to wave to them because you cannot WAIT to get off the bus and hug them hard and kiss them passionately without shame in front of anybody who might be looking. It's good to be so exhausted that you want sleep, but what you REALLY want is to have sex with that person you haven't been close with in that time that you were away. It's lovely to strip your dirty travel clothes off and just lie nude on top of your loved one and have delicious sex that you'd forgotten you could have because a mundane pattern was starting to have been forming before you left on your much needed vacation. Romance is not dead after a vacation. It's like you've just met for the first time again (but without the awkwardness and insecurity and over-analyzing)...The constant need to hug and touch and kiss and say "I missed you and I love you." It's good to be home again!!
