2006-07-15 : Pink Martini and Diary Reading Suggestions!
Tonight Larry and I are going to see Pink Martini at the Cuthbert (I know I spelled that wrong!) Ampitheater. The place ROCKS for seeing live shows but I usually don't go because #1: I don't like who is playing, #2: The tickets are usually at the low-end: $28-30, and more commonly closer to $50.00.

We will bring a blanket and sit in the "general section" which is up on the grassy little knolls that surround the stage. We will bring a large tapestry blanket to stretch out on. I will tickle my toes in the lovely green grass that grows around here. Maybe we will bring a picnic lunch. Or maybe we will spend $8.00 on a plate of fairly good stir-fry (they have food and drink vendors there)

I'm excited. I find the Cuthbert Ampitheater experience to be very romantic. The only other time we went there was for Harry Connick Jr. I'm not into him so much but Larry's ex-boss gave us free tickets, so how could we decline?

You know...I'm updating my diary, deleting alot of people that I don't read much of anymore (no offense meant to anybody) and deleting most people that don't update except once a year. What I really need is suggestions on diaries I should read. I like humor above all else and people that write about mundane life but make it seems really extraordinary. Please help me out with this one. I know I can go and read a bunch of random stuff, but in all honesty I don't want to read a bunch of teenager diaries (unless they are super-genius) and I'm 36, so...you catch my drift, right? Leave suggestions in my "notes" or "guestbook" and I'll send you some killer Oregon grass (ha! Not THAT kind of Oregon grass!) Ya know..I love my Dahn Center instructor (that is the place I take yoga/meditation and Dahn Mudo (which is the Korean Martial Art)...He is so huggy (but not in a creepy way) and he really ought to give Larry pointers in the art of complimenting a woman now and then. He always tells me how beautiful I look when I come in the door. He compliments me on certain outfits and all of my jewelry. He even said he liked my tattoo. He is very shy when it comes to info about himself, but I did find out that he likes a wide variety of music. When he said he liked Heavy metal I had to laugh, just because he seems like a little Buddha. He said he liked Metallica and that made me laugh. There is also a guy in my Dahn Mudo class that is pretty damn cute (though something about him irks me just a little)...It's sort of fun going to class to look at the cute guys (being the instructor and this other guy)...I like having harmless crushes that go nowhere. It also gives me more incentive to make my ass go to class. OH, I TOTALLY FORGOT! I just started reading "The Book Thief" (Markus Zusak) and I am totally in love with this author and this book. It is unlike anything I've ever read. I won't go into details. Just trust me and buy it!! If you've read it, tell me what you thought!!
