2006-10-29 : Hansel'sLederhosen were WAY too tight!
Wow. My stomach feels like a giant, churning pit right now. I only drank a couple of beers last night. I guess I just need to eat a little more.

Missy had stopped peeing in her litter box and so we took her to the vet last week and she has a bladder infection so I've been giving her antibiotics. I hide them in this things called "pill pockets" which are little flavored treats with a hole in one end. They REALLY work. She loves them and I don't have to struggle to give her pills to her at all. Hopefully she WILL eventually start going pee back in her litter box again once her infection is mostly gone. She continues to either go on the dining room carpet (which is a pain!) or the kitchen floor (which is preferable since it's vinyl and much easier to clean!) Poor Missy.

So, I dressed up as Gretel for the two Halloween parties we attended last night. I think I looked great. Larry gave me a digital camera as an early Christmas present. Larry had a Hansel outfit but it ended up being really tight and uncomfortable around his crouch area. He was starting to get really pissed off and moody because he couldn't think of what he could go as at the last minute. Finally I convinced him to go in drag. He wore a tight black lace dress of mine (shin length) and some black knee-hi trouser socks and I gave him a black shawl which he was supposed to put over his head. He was going to be a widow, but he never wore the shawl around his head so he just looked like he was wearing a black dress, etc. The Halloween parties were ok, but fairly boring. We were home around 11:30. It took me hours to fall asleep, though and I don't know why.

Mom's old room looks more like how it used to before she ever moved to Oregon. It is all cleaned out for the most part and the futon couch is back in there and so is a TV and I bought this cool Indian Tapestry that I've hung on the back of the couch and a I bought a couple of very pretty throw pillows (the walls in that room are guava/dark peach colored) and it looks really nice in there now. I don't know when that room will stop being the room in which mom died though. I don't think my brain will EVER stop thinking about it like that.

I miss mom. It is things like not being able to show her photos of what I dressed up as for Halloween and that sort of thing that just make me ache for her. *sigh*

Well, I'm gonna go play around on the Lonely Planet web-site. I'm obsessed with it since I'm reading up on travelling (since I still plan to go over to Europe in Mid to Late March!) I'm very excited about that!!!
