Larry and I had been talking about this off and on recently (half serious, half kidding) but it seems totally natural that we would do this. We've had some rocky moments but now our relationship seems stronger than it has been in AGES!!
He bought me a beautiful antique engagement ring. It is either Art Noveau or Art Deco (so, 1910-1920's), white gold (or is platinum) and has a small square diamond. He knows exactly what I wanted! I'm wearing it now and watching it sparkle in the dim lights in this room.
We wanted to get married in Scotland when we will be travelling together this summer but we need a visa and I can't get mine in time (since I leave tommorrow).
He is still totally set on Scotland, so we will probably shoot for Dec. 31, 2007 (or thereabouts) and have a stateside reception Spring of 2008...but who knows..maybe we will find a loophole in the UK while we are over there and come back already married..hee hee!!
