Little Aran is sitting behind me right now warming my butt with her little fur body. Earlier she was sitting RIGHT in front of the computer screen playing with the cursor and anything else that moved. She also loves to watch TV. Her favorite is "Rock of Love" or "The Coreys" (just kidding!)
I woke up to knocking at our door. When I answered it I was greeted by an officer of the law. He was nice, actually. We have been having major work done on the house (siding is being replaced and so are all 22 windows!) I guess the construction people have a dumpster/trailer thing out back that is "blocking" the alleyway. The old biddy that lives next door to us ALWAYS calls the cops for EVERYTHING, so she called the cops about that. The construction guys have 3 days to move it to a "legal" area or it will be towed. The cop has obviously dealt with biddy next door several times and you can tell he hates to bug us but has to. Poor guy. I wish she would get a fucking LIFE. She calls when people's vehicles are slightly over the sidewalk (mind you, parked in their OWN driveways, not hers!) We should call and complain about all the cactus plants in their yard. We had to pull several long needles out of Poppy's chest a few weeks ago (stupid Poppy!) and I truly think the cacti are a hazard to both people and animals and the general public...and, um...nah, I don't want to get in another WAR with that family. There has been peace between us and them for awhile for the most part, since C. moved out (whom they hated the most!) Blah, Blah, Blah.
Know what film I really loved and recently watched again? "Billy Liar"..it just cracks me up every time! Go rent it if you've never seen it.
Oh, last night we saw some great music. "The Voodoo Organist" was rocking John Henry's. It is this guy that is an excellent organ player and a drummer. The sound is like Screamin' Jay Hawkins meets Tom Waits meets 60's garage rock meets something totally original that I cannot classify. The dude also plays a theremin and how cool is THAT? Nice guy, too.
We will check out more of the Celebration today and tonight we are going to a "Virgo" party. The host is our friend and his birthday is today. Mine was Sunday. He said he is buying tiaras for all of us to wear. I hope he was serious!!
