2007-11-12 : Going to the Chapel....
So, Larry and I got MARRIED this weekend (Saturday, Nov. 10, 2007). Call me crazy, but it didn't feel right back in August but now it does and so we did it. We applied for our wedding license last week, called 'Weddings on Call' and a nice lady named Reverend Diana married us on Saturday at their office (which has a make shift altar, etc.) which is just down the street from where we live. Our friends Diana and Dave were our witnesses. I feel extremely happy. It doesn't change my life drastically because we have been living together for 4 years already, but it gives me a nice feeling.

After the ceremony (which lasted about 10 minutes and included a Gaelic blessing (we exchanged claddagh rings)) we drove up to this gorgeous park that is just up the hill from our house and took a bunch of nice photos. Then we went and checked in at the Excelsior Inn (we stayed in the Joseph Haydn room) and then went to Max's to see all of our friends. Some people knew we were getting married but many didn't because we have just kept it quiet. Most of my family doesn't even know (except my immediate family)...People bought us beer and someone bought a bottle of champagne (only drank 1 glass as I can't stand the stuff)...then we went with Dave and Diana to the Excelsior Inn to eat our dinner..very good!! I think we were back in our hotel room by midnight. It was a lovely day/night.
